To help minimize bruising and support optimal healing, we generally recommend avoiding alcohol for 24 hours before treatment and avoiding blood-thinning supplements such as fish oil, vitamin E, turmeric, garlic, and ginkgo for 5–7 days prior, if medically appropriate. Arrive well-hydrated after eating a light meal, and follow any provider-specific instructions regarding preparation. Do not stop prescription medications unless directed by your healthcare provider.

Following treatment, we generally recommend avoiding anti-inflammatory medications (such as ibuprofen, aspirin, and naproxen), alcohol, strenuous exercise, and excessive heat exposure for at least 24 hours. Keep the treatment area clean and avoid unnecessary pressure or irritation. Follow all post-treatment instructions provided by your provider.

Sexual activity may typically be resumed within 24 hours following treatment unless otherwise directed by your provider. If your treatment is part of a specific protocol, additional instructions may be provided.
